Two people have been arrested in connection with several distraction-style thefts targeting elderly people in Vaughan.
It is alleged that on May 29 and May 31 at around 6 pm, two suspects in an SUV pulled up to elderly victims who were out walking. The suspects engaged in conversation with them, York police said, asking for directions. During these interactions, the suspects allegedly tried to gift the victims with cheap jewelry, using this gesture as a rage while attempting to remove the victims’ valuable jewelry.
When these alleged attempts failed, the police say the suspects used force to rob their
Sometimes in science, a breakthrough comes not with some new discovery, but with the re-examination of something we’ve had under our noses for decades. Take, for example, a new analysis of the jewelry collection of Hetepheres I, a queen of Egypt more than 4,500 years ago – research that has revealed a century-old museum display to in fact be some of the earliest evidence for long-distance trade in the ancient world.

VENICE: The futuristic avant-garde designs of The Line, Saudi Arabia’s trailblazing linear city, are on view for the first time outside of the Kingdom during the 18th edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale.
The Line is part of NEOM, a smart city being constructed in the Kingdom’s Tabuk region of the country — a city that, in many ways, fits perfectly with the theme of this year’s biennale, “The Laboratory of the Future,” and with its focus on architecture from historically under-represented parts of the world.

The site says that when she wrapped up her relaxing session, she returned to find her baubles had disappeared.
Now Page Six hears that a ragtag band of amateur sleuths consisting of star’s pals, hotel insiders, random guests and various other intrigued parties have pinpointed a suspect.

Jewels from Larkspur & Hawk, a New York City-based jewelry brand founded and led by Emily Satloff, are dominating the new QueenCharlotte series, which debuted on May 4th on Netflix. Satloff’s creations, which are centered around foils (historically used to brighten jewels and make them shimmer in candlelight), are always rooted in past designs and influences, making the partnership kismet.
“The young queen lived during a time that produced my favorite jewelry; jewelry that I have admired, collected and been inspired for decades,” says Satloff. “It’s especially rewarding to see Larkspur & Hawk sparkling throughout the trailer on the beautiful
