Victoria jewelry store vows to stay open after armed robbery

The owner of a century-old jewelry store in Victoria says staff have no plans to close up shop after a dramatic armed robbery over the weekend.

Surveillance video of the robbery shows a man entering the store and pulling out a hammer, smashing display cases and stealing items.

Antonio Brown sued by celebrity jeweler for $1 Million in unpaid bling

Shuki Internationala renowned jeweler who has provided diamond pieces to high-profile athletes such as Floyd Mayweatherhas filed a lawsuit against Antonio Brownthe former wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to the lawsuit, Brown owes Shuki International over $1 million for several jewelry items that he received back in 2022.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles this week, alleges that Brown received the jewelry items under the promise that he would pay $1,095,000 for all of them.

Jewelry worth thousands stolen from neighboring homes damaged in the Calgary house explosion

It’s been an emotional week for people living in the Calgary community of Marlborough after a home exploded — leaving many without a place to live — but now some in the area have more to worry about than just having to repair or rebuild.

On Monday, March 27, a house in northeastern Calgary exploded due to a suspected natural gas leak, sending 10 people to the hospital.
