Police in Victoria, BC, are looking for a man who violently robbed a jewelry store on Saturday.

The incident was captured on the store’s security camera.

Police said they were called to the store just before 3:45 pm The suspect had already fled after being pushed out of the store by staff members, but they told police the man had entered the store brandishing a hammer.

Dramatic video surveillance shows the moment that a robbery suspect entered a jewelry store in Victoria and smashed open display cases, only to be confronted by people inside the shop who quickly grabbed chairs to defend themselves.

The incident occurred around 3:45 pm Saturday at a shop in downtown Victoria.

The video shows a man entering the store and pushing his way behind a display case. He then used a hammer to break open one of the cases, putting items into a backpack.

According to TMZ, the former star NFL receiver is the target of a lawsuit from Shuki International, a celebrity jeweler who is known to provide accessories to star athletes. Shuki is reportedly accusing Brown of failing to pay nearly $1.1 million for a pair of his signature “diamond fingers,” which cost $500,000 a piece, and are a sort of bejeweled finger sleeve.
