The Unironic Endeavor To Turn Lee Kuan Yew’s Face Into Bling

All images courtesy of Neoliberal Arts

Lee Kuan Yew would have cringed at the hero worshiped after his death, his daughter Lee Wei Ling said in 2016. She was referring to initiatives that included an artwork of his face, created from 4,877 erasers.

Princess Diana’s ‘Swan Lake’ Necklace and Earrings Are Up for Auction

In June 1997, Princess Diana went to the British National Ballet’s gala performance of Swan Lake. Little did anyone know at the time that it would be one of her final public appearances.

Diana looked glamorous in a sparkling Jacques Azagury minidress and Jimmy Choo pumps for the occasion, but the star of her outfit was a custom-made South Sea pearl necklace by Garrard. The crown jeweler created the necklace (and a matching set of earrings, which weren’t finished at the time) based on designs by Princess Diana herself. After she wore the necklace, it was returned to Garrard so

Demon Slayer’s Eeriest Villain Fears Tanjiro’s Earrings For a Good Reason

Mysterious earrings worn by Tanjiro are clearly a nightmare fuel for Muzan Kibutsuji.

Tanjiro earrings are traditionally passed down from generation to generation in Demon Slayer. The earrings are similar to paper talismans.

In the upper part there is a red circle with several lines extending from the circle in different directions in the shape of a flower. Below these lines is a large gray semicircle.

The name of the earrings, Hanafuda, also has its own meaning. Hanafuda are playing cards of Japanese origin, similar to Western style playing cards, and are used in many games.
