Heidi Horten jewelry collection set to shatter auction records

The auction of the late Austrian billionaire Heidi Horton’s jewelry collection is expected to break the record set more than a decade ago by the late actress Elizabeth Taylor.
In 2011, Taylor’s gems racked up nearly $116 million at auction, with her admirer Kim Kardashian shelling out $64,900 for three Lorraine Schwartz bangles.

However, more than 700 jewels owned by Horton, who was also an art collector, are estimated to fetch more than $150 million in total in a series of auctions at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva and online in May

Man charged after jewelry stolen from homes damaged in Calgary house explosion – Calgary

A man has been charged in relation to a break-in at an evacuated residence following a house explosion and fire in northeast Calgary last month.

On March 30 at around 1:45 pm, a woman and her husband were returning to their house in the 700 block of Maryvale Way NE after a house explosion sent 10 people to hospital and damaged other houses several days earlier.

Counterfeit jewelry worth over $4.41 million seized in Louisville

Louisville Customs & Border Control officers seized 2,400 pieces of fake jewelry shipped from Hong Kong, attempting importation into the United States.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Three shipments of jewelry with counterfeit designer trademarks worth millions of dollars were seized by Louisville officers within 24 hours.

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Louisville seized three shipments containing 2,400 pieces of counterfeit jewelry, shipped from Hong Kong, attempting importation into the United States.

On April 3, two of the shipments were heading to the same private residence in Jeffersonville, Indiana, but with different recipient names.
