Boldr Safari GMT

Boldr Safari GMT

Since the Miyota 9075 and the Seiko NH34 movements were unveiled, the latest microbrand trend has been GMT watches. Boldr has released quite a few GMT watches in the past, like their Globetrotter series, but those were much more expensive, and also much larger watches. The 9075, which is referred to as a “true” GMT has been quite popular, and is also a way for brands to offer this style of movement at a much lower price than what Rolex offers. But even more affordable are watches using the Seiko NH34, and that is

Praesidus A-11 Tom Rice

Recreations of historical Military watches have been going on for decades by many brands, and the Praesidus A-11 Tom Rice Edition attempts to tackle one of the most popular watches out there, the watch that won WWII. A-11 watches were originally contracted by the government and made by Waltham, Elgin, and Bulova, but also Hamilton as well. Praesidus, a brand that hit the scene in 2019, after meeting Tom Rice, set out to recreate his watch, as he lost it in his jump into Normandy. This model takes inspiration from the Elgin, Bulova,

Jewelry chain Shane Co. apologizes for not accepting US service member’s Puerto Rico driver’s license as valid US ID

US service member Abdiel Gonzalez said an employee at a Shane Co. store in Roseville, California, didn’t accept his Puerto Rican driver’s license when he tried to buy an engagement ring for his soon-to-be wife.

When the employee didn’t accept his license at the jewelry chain last October, Gonzalez says he showed his military ID to back up the fact that as Puerto Rican, he is a US citizen. But the employee, Gonzalez said, didn’t accept either ID as valid.

Hanhart 417 ES

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Hanhart Watches and this Hanhart 417 ES is no different. Taking inspiration from the past, Hanhart has recreated the 417 ES, but this one is not the exact same as 1954, beyond just modern material upgrades and of course the movement. No, this one has been modernized to 42mm. Yes, the original case size was 39mm, but now you can get it in 42mm, for those who prefer something a little bit bigger. This one is the original model, not the flyback, and is housing

Marloe GMT

If you have been paying attention, you will know that the newest trend in watches, especially microbrands, is GMT. Every year we seem to have a new trend; smaller watches, Genta-inspired watches, mint-colored dial watches, etc. We also have a newer GMT movement that is responsible for a lot of these GMT watches, which is the Miyota 9075. The Marloe GMT utilizes this new movement, and that means, this is a 3 timezone GMT traveler, which many refer to as a TRUE GMT, as it has the jumping hour hand. The price starts at $765

28 of the Best Wedding Bands for You and Your Partner

You’ve got the ring! You’ve found the dress! You’ve selected the cake! Now it’s time to pick one of the best wedding bands—for you and your partner. “Wedding bands are a very personal choice,” says jeweler Stephanie Wynne Lalin, half of the sister duo behind Jemma Wynne jewelry. Just like the engagement ring, there are various schools of thought for the wedding band: traditional—meaning hugging right up next to the band like a puzzle piece; mix-and-match—a band that’s fairly opposite from the engagement ring such as plain gold next to all pavé diamonds, etc; and avant-garde—modern, unusual, and often bespoke.
