GANNI and Veneda Carter Drop Jewelry Collab

GANNI is joining forces with Los Angeles-based creative Veneda Carter — teaming up with her eponymous jewelry label to mark the Danish brand’s foray into the category.

First revealed during the brand’s Fall/Winter 2023 showcase in Copenhagen this year, the partnership results in an exclusive, three-piece collection consisting of hoop earrings, a bracelet and a necklace. Each piece in the collection features GANNI’s new butterfly logo in pendant form, taking cues from Carter’s futuristic design aesthetic. Designed with the signature crumpled texture from GANNI’s “Butterflies” collection, the pieces are crafted with 18-carat gold plating.

Man arrested in relation to hammer-smashed displays at Victoria jewelry store

Victoria police have arrested a man suspected of being the individual who smashed displays with a hammer at a jewelry store earlier this month.

Officers arrested the man from a housing facility in the 2500-block of Dowler Place on April 22. The man remains in custody and police will recommend that he face charges including armed robbery, assault with a weapon and breaching numerous court-ordered conditions.

The arrested man was wanted on six warrants for various other offenses, VicPD said on Wednesday.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a jewelry thief who was caught on surveillance camera smashing displays and stealing from a downtown Victorian small business.

The traumatic incident took place at Francis Jewelers, a jewelry store located in the 600-block of Broughton Street at around 3:45 pm on Saturday, April 15th.

The police were told by staff that a man had entered the business holding a hammer. He then made his way behind the counter where he opened two display cases using the hammer and stole some of their contents.

Suspect smashes displays with hammer at Victoria jewelry store

Police are looking to identify a suspect who was caught on video using a hammer to smash glass displays at a Victorian jewelry store on April 15.

Security camera footage shows the suspect walking through the store with multiple bags before they start to smash displays and appear to pocket items. Multiple staff members in the store are then seen stepping in and trying to contain the man, some using chairs to do so, before the suspect continues to break more of the jewelry-containing counters.
