2 men who fled to Malaysia after allegedly stealing S$132,000 diamond ring from Lucky Plaza shop were arrested

SINGAPORE: Two men who allegedly stole a diamond ring worth more than S$132,000 (US$99,488) from a pawnshop at Lucky Plaza on Sunday (Jul 16), before fleeing to Malaysia have been arrested and handed over to Singapore police.

In a news release on Thursday, the police said they were alerted to the case just before 6.30pm on Jul 16.

A 48-year-old man allegedly took the ring and fled the pawnshop when the staff was attending to his request to buy another diamond ring.

Through investigations, officers from the Tanglin Police Division established his identity, as well as that of his 58-year-old

Here’s where the Diamond Fire is burning in north Scottsdale

The Diamond Fire burning in north Scottsdale has forced evacuations and multiple closures.

The 2,500-acre wildfire is at 30% containment as of June 29, according to the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. More than 100 homes in Scottsdale have been evacuated, according to the city.

The Diamond Fire started near 130th Street and Ranch Gate Road in north Scottsdale, 11 miles southwest of the Rio Verde Foothills community.

The fire began moving east toward McDowell Mountain Regional Park, according to Scottsdale police.

The 2023 Tony Awards turned into a massive “Sweet Caroline” singalong during a live rendition of the Neil Diamond musical “A Beautiful Noise.”
