Francis Jewelers is scheduled to reopen Tuesday.

Owner Rafal Zebrowski told CHEK News he was afraid for his life during the incident, which left staff and customers shaken. Victoria police were called about 3:45 pm

A downtown Victoria jewelry shop owner says he and his staff feared for their lives when a man armed with a hammer walked in during business hours and demanded they hand over merchandise.

Rafal Zebrowski owns Francis Jewelers in the 600-block of Broughton Street and says the incident, which happened around 4 pm Saturday, left staff and customers shaking up and wiping away tears in the aftermath of something they’d never experienced before.

Victoria jewelry store vows to stay open after armed robbery

The owner of a century-old jewelry store in Victoria says staff have no plans to close up shop after a dramatic armed robbery over the weekend.

Surveillance video of the robbery shows a man entering the store and pulling out a hammer, smashing display cases and stealing items.

SAN RAMON — The brazen daylight armed robbery of a jewelry store at the upscale City Center Bishop Ranch shopping center in San Ramon has left shoppers and business owners shaken.
