Lynx, Reeve energized around new star duo of Napheesa Collier and Diamond Miller

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx tried a stopgap approach to filling the void from the disassembly of their four-championship dynasty, a patchwork process that worked all right until a collapse last season left them out of the playoffs and produced the worst record in 13 seasons under head coach Cheryl Reeve.

That’s exactly where Aether, a diamond-growing company based in New York, is trying to change the narrative around diamonds.

“The only thing transparent in this industry are the stones,” says Ryan Shearman, CEO of Aether Diamonds in an interview with TechCrunch. “There is no supply chain on planet Earth that’s fully traceable with respect to

Botswana mining growth seen flat amid dim diamond outlook

Debswana, a joint venture between Botswana’s government and Anglo American Plc’s De Beers, which produces almost all of Botswana’s diamonds, registered an 8% growth in output in 2022 to 24.1 million carats. Diamond trading grew 41% in the year as Botswana also benefitted from Western buyers shunning stones from Russia following its invasion of Ukraine.
