Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan’s diamond earrings get stolen; cops arrest house help: Report | Hindi Movie News

Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan filed a complaint with the Mumbaipolice after her expensive diamond earrings were stolen from her apartment. The police have reportedly arrested her house help.
The accused identified as Sandip Hegde, reportedly a resident of Ambewadi slums in Vile Parle East, worked as a domestic staffer at Arpita Khan Sharma’s house at a high rise in Khar. The Khan sister stated in her complaint that her diamond earrings worth Rs 5 lakh were kept in the make-up tray and had gone missing.

Under senior inspector Mohan Mane of Khar Police, a team consisting of PI Vinod Gaonkar, PSI Laxman Kakde, PSI Gawli and detection staff was formed to arrest the accused. Hegde was part of the staff along with 11 other people and had been working at the high rise for the past four months. According to reports, he had run away after stealing, without informing anyone.

Reportedly, the stolen property has been recovered from his house and Hegde has been remanded to police custody. He has been booked under section 381 (theft by servant) of IPC.
