Papa Johns has launched its first-ever piece of jewelry, the Stranger Bling necklace, which pays homage to its 1980s horror film parody series, “Jack!”, according to a press release.
The necklace immortalizes Papa John’s Special Garlic Dipping Sauce. It’s forged in oxidized .925 sterling silver — a metal that is believed to repel vampires and werewolves — and is hinged to replicate the opening and closing of Papa John’s fan-favorite dipping sauce.
The limited-edition jewelry launch pays homage to the Jack! film series, in which a possessed Papa Johns’ Jack O’Lantern pizza is defeated by the magical powers of the brand’s Special Garlic Dipping Sauce and hero pizza delivery guy, Bruce.
The necklace is featured in a striking new 4K teaser film produced by Glacé Media, released ahead of Halloween.
Highlight PR worked with UK-based silversmith Oli Brown to create the Stranger Bling necklace and an exclusive pendant run is available to buy direct from the maker: Black Feather Design, priced at $113.29.
“This year, we’re paying homage to cult horror classics and serving up nostalgia with our latest Halloween-themed marketing campaign. As well as bringing back our iconic Jack! series, we’re excited to offer fans a one-of-a-kind -kind keepsake which celebrates our legendary Special Garlic Dipping Sauce,” Lawrence Felice, director, international marketing EMENA at Papa Johns, said in the press release.
Created exclusively for Papa Johns, Jack! was brought to life by LA-based YouTube film specialists SKYCORP, harnessing cutting-edge CGI and SFX to transform Papa Johns’ seasonal Jack O’Lantern pizza into an on-screen villain. Sean Schemmel, best known for his role as Son Goku from Dragon Ball Z, is featured as the chilling voice of Jack.
