It is uncommon to find a pink diamond, not to mention the largest one in three centuries.
Australian miner Lucapa Diamond Firm has unearthed a 170-carat pink diamond that it claims is the biggest such stone present in 300 years. Dubbed the “Lulo Rose,” the gem was found on the firm’s Lulo alluvial diamond mine within the Lunda Norte area of Angola in Africa, based on a press release shared on Wednesday.

The diamond is anticipated to fetch within the hundreds of thousands at a forthcoming public sale run by Angolan state diamond advertising firm Sodiam.
