King Charles III now presidents over the British monarchy. And by his side: Queen Camilla.

Wait a second. When Queen Elizabeth II, who died Sept. 8, 2022, reigned for her 70 years, her better half wasn’t King Philip but rather HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. As with many things royal, it’s complicated.

Camilla’s new title was set in motion in February 2022, when Elizabeth decreed during festivities marking her seven decades on the throne that the Duchess of Cornwall should be known as Queen Consort, as opposed to Princess Consort, when Charles ascended to the throne.

Queen Consort Camilla wears Queen Elizabeth’s diamond necklace

Camilla Parker Bowles was dripping in diamonds for her first overseas trip as Queen Consort.

The 75-year-old royal attended a state banquet in Germany on Wednesday night wearing the Greville Tiara and an elaborate diamond necklace that previously belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The sparkling piece — known as the City of London Fringe Necklace — has an especially sentimental meaning, as it was a wedding gift given to the then-Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip in 1947, per The Court Jeweler.

MLB’s base size changes, explained: Why the bases are bigger in 2023 and get ‘pizza box’ comparisons

For those on an MLB diamond this year, there’s going to be a notable difference in the infield besides a restriction on the shift. MLB increased the base size to 18 square inches from the previous size of 15 square inches this offseason, giving the bases more coverage on the dirt.

This change is being made as more of an installation of safety than to affect gameplay. The idea is to avoid collisions, particularly between players covering first base and players running through it.

47 Diamond Street Tops Out in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction has topped out on 47 Diamond Street, a three-story residential building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Paul Lombardi of Design Studio Associates and developed by 47 Diamond Street LLC, the 48-foot-tall structure will span 133,321 square feet and yield nine units with an average scope of 1,480 square feet, as well as a cellar level, a penthouse , and a 30-foot-long rear yard. Giron Contracting is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Nassau and Driggs Avenues.

A rare “Diamond-eyed cat” has gone viral on TikTok, seen with one eye that reflects the light, looking gold or blue. The light orange tabby appeared climbing on a tree in Thailand, and you can see, one of his eyes caught the light and sparkling while the other was normal. Comments suggest this is an extremely rare lucky cat, but what’s really happening?

The viral TikTok even captured the attention of Yahoo News, which reported the cat was “a rare Thai Khao Manee cat,” which prompted some people to pick lottery numbers.
