Alton Mason Named First Male Face of French Jeweler MESSIKA

MESSIKA Paris, the opulence-first French jewelry house founded by Valérie Messika in 2005, has found its first male face in model Alton Mason. Starring in the brand’s Spring 2023 campaign alongside current ambassador Kendall Jenner, the famed multi-hyphenate puts a masculine spin on the brand’s contemporary jewels.

Mason previously appeared in MESSIKA’s Paris Fashion Week show in September, storming the runway alongside Naomi Campbell. “In our second show, Alton was our male model,” said the designer. “This combination was a huge success. Rooted in the world of fashion. Always on the move, Alton dances and acts. This works perfectly with our energy.”

Now, starring in the brand’s cinematic campaign, shot in Palm Springs, California, Mason joins an ever-expanding roster of male jewelry ambassadors, including Jimin for Tiffany & Co., Timothée Chalamet for Cartier and Hugo Marchand for Mellerio. Mason’s sartorial imagery, lensed by Chris Colls, marks the first of three parts in MESSIKA’s campaign rollout, which will take place over the course of 2023.

In this newly-released reel, which references Hitchcock heroines and Tarantino’s film magic, Mason shows off the brand’s XL bracelet from the “My Love” collection, which features bling-filled, metal cut-outs on the top of the wrist. Additionally, the dancer-turned-model wears the label’s Move GI military-inspired necklace and its Move Titanium bracelets and rings.
