Cause of death for ‘Diamond’ of pro-Trump duo ‘Diamond and Silk’ revealed: Report

The cause of death of Lynnette “Diamond” Hardaway, one half of the conservative political commentator team Diamond and Silk, has been revealed, according to a report by the Associated Press.

According to a death certificate obtained by the Associated Press, Hardaway, 51, died on Jan. 8 of heart disease due to chronic high blood pressure.

Hardaway and her sister, Rochelle “Silk” Richardson, fervent supporters of former President Donald Trump, appeared regularly at rallies during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The pair went on to be hired as commentators for Fox News but were let go for promoting disinformation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). Both were later hired by far-right media platform Newsmax, the Associated Press went on to report.

“Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, all Americans,” Trump wrote in a post to his Truth Social media platform upon news of Hardaway’s death. “Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the state she loves so much, North Carolina.”
